What are the basic ideas and evidence relating to global warming and future predictions of changes to Earth's climate? Julio Magalhães, an atmospheric physicist and the Chapter's Global Warming Program Coordinator, will explore this question and then present the Chapter's ambitious Climate Action Campaign. Come and learn how individuals can step up to the climate/clean energy challenge!

John Muir and early Europeans assumed California was a pristine wilderness, but actually it was a highly managed landscape. Research currently underway near Aņo Nuevo State Park is yielding evidence of these Ohlone management practices. Come hear a description of this research by Chuck Striplen, both an historicalecologist and an Ohlone Indian tribal member.

Light refreshments and food will be served at 6:30 p.m. Presentations will begin promptly at 7 p.m. For information about Third Tuesday, please contact Barbara Millin at third.tuesdays@lomaprieta.sierraclub.org or (650) 327-4645.
