Some of this year's Chapter award winners
Welcome
The Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter is the 6th largest chapter nationally with over 24,000 members. We offer hikes and outdoor recreation for people of all ages, advocate for policies that protect our natural environment, support environmental candidates for public office, and provide opportunities for people who want to develop leadership skills to give back to the community and help the environment. Come and explore!
Fundraising Team Needs Cheerleaders!
Are you persuasive, good with people, like to organize parties or events, or enjoy solicitation or writing? If you want to help protect the environment the biggest impact you can have is by helping the Sierra Club's most important committee raise funds for our programs. We have a great committee with projects involving sponsorships, grant-writing, event planning, donor cultivation, direct mail, and more. We meet monthly at the Peninsula Conservation Center. For more information please contact Melissa Hippard, Chapter Director (Melissa 'at' sierraclub.org/650-390-8414) or Karen Maki, Fundraising Chair (chair 'at' lomaprieta.sierraclub.org/650-366-0577).
Get Involved in the Chapter's Work
Volunteering with the Sierra Club is a great way to help protect our environment and at the same time meet people with similar interests and passions. The Loma Prieta Chapter gets its work done because people like you step up and volunteer to help. Numerous volunteer opportunities are currently available, including fundraising, bookkeeping, hiker's hut reservation management and work party, and newsletter production. See the Volunteer page for more information.
