Sierra Club
Vy can't ve chust climb? - John Salathe
The PCS
The Peak Climbing Section (PCS) is an activity section of the Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club.  We're a diverse group brought together by our love for climbing in the mountains.  Our activities are as varied as the Sierra topography:  we climb rock, snow and ice, crags and high summits, we ski and snowshoe, hike the local hills and travel abroad to climb.  Our focus is on nontechnical ascents of peaks in the Sierra Nevada.  Each month we publish our newsletter, Scree.
Our Next Meeting
Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.  You are welcome to attend.

Date: Tuesday, September 9, 2008
Time: 7:30 PM

Program: PCS Meeting

PCS business meeting, and a slide show TBD.

Location: The Peninsula Conservation Center  [map]
3921 East Bayshore Rd
Palo Alto, CA

Directions: From 101: Exit at San Antonio Road, Go East to the first traffic light, turn left and follow Bayshore Rd to the PCC on the corner of Corporation Way. A sign marking the PCC is out front. Park behind.

In addition to the program, at our meetings we like to boast about our exploits, plot new adventures, and conduct a little club business.  There are also usually some snacks.
